The washer triggers this code when the control board does not receive confirmation that water is filling to the required level within the expected time.

It is not recommended to continue using the washer while code 8 is active. The code can indicate an active water leak, which poses a risk of water damage to floors and surrounding areas. Running the machine without resolving the root cause could worsen a leak or cause the washer to fill improperly and damage laundry.

A reset may temporarily clear the code, but it will return if the underlying problem is not addressed. To reset the washer, unplug it from power for one to two minutes and then plug it back in.
