A power reset may temporarily clear the display, but error code 89 will return if the underlying fault condition is still present. Because this fault is tied to a hardware component reporting an active error, a reset alone is not a fix. The accelerometer board and its wiring need to be diagnosed and repaired to resolve the code permanently.
