A power reset by unplugging the unit for several minutes may temporarily clear the EP code if the corruption was caused by a one-time power fluctuation. However, if the EEPROM or control board hardware is genuinely damaged, the error will return. Repeated recurrence after resets confirms that a control board replacement is needed.

Repair costs depend on whether you hire a technician or replace the part yourself. A replacement main control board typically runs in the range of $100 to $300 for the part, depending on the specific model.
