F64 indicates a steamer inlet valve failure on a Whirlpool washer. The code appears only during the Diagnostic Test cycle and signals that the steamer valve is either blocked open or not operating correctly. The valve coil should read approximately 812 ohms; an infinity reading means the coil has failed. The wiring between the CCU and the valve should also be inspected.

It is not recommended to run steam cycles on a washer displaying F64, as a valve stuck in the open position could allow uncontrolled water flow into the steam circuit. Non-steam wash cycles may still function, but the underlying fault should be resolved before the steamer is used again.
