Error code 1B22 means the control board has detected an open circuit in the drive circuit for the left oven cooling fan. The board expects current to flow when the fan is commanded on, but no current is detected, indicating a break somewhere in the electrical path. This could be a failed fan motor, broken wiring, a bad connector, or a fault on the control board itself.

Continuing to operate the oven with a non-functioning cooling fan is not recommended. The cooling fan protects the control electronics and surrounding cabinetry from heat buildup. Running the oven without it increases the risk of overheating sensitive components and could cause further damage or create a safety hazard. The oven should be serviced before regular use resumes.

Repair costs depend on which component has failed. A wiring repair or connector replacement is typically the least expensive fix, while a cooling fan motor replacement generally falls in a moderate price range.
