Error code 36 on a Wolf range means the TC control board has detected that its own operating temperature is too high. This is a thermal protection fault designed to prevent damage to the electronics. It is not a fault related to the cooking cavity temperature. The most common cause is a cooling fan that has stopped working or is restricted.

You should not continue using the range while error code 36 is active. The range is alerting you that its control electronics are overheating. Continued operation under this condition can cause permanent damage to the control board. Discontinue use until the cause of the fault has been identified and corrected.
