Error code 4821 indicates a fault in the MDL, or motor drive load circuit, for the right oven. It activates when either no load is detected when the drive circuit is turned on, or the circuit is conducting current when it should be open and inactive. This points to a problem with the motor, the wiring, or the control board managing that circuit.

It is not recommended to continue using the right oven while this error is active. A conducting circuit that should be open could indicate a short circuit condition, and an unresponsive motor drive could affect oven functions that depend on that component. Discontinue use of the affected oven until the fault has been diagnosed and resolved.

Repair costs depend on which component has failed. Wiring repairs or connector replacements tend to be on the lower end of the cost range. A replacement motor or motor assembly typically falls in the mid-range for parts and labor. A new control board for a Wolf range is generally the most expensive repair scenario, often running several hundred dollars in parts alone before labor costs are added.

Some basic checks, such as inspecting visible wiring connectors for loose or disconnected terminals, can be done by a careful DIYer.
