Wolf Range Error Code E 62

E 62 indicates a hardware error in the left secondary burner's NTC thermistor circuit. The NTC thermistor is a temperature-sensing component that feeds resistance-based temperature data to the control board. When the board detects a signal outside its expected parameters, it logs E 62 and disables the affected burner zone. The fault can originate at the sensor, the wiring, or the control board itself.

E 62 disables the left secondary burner zone as part of the range's protective response to the fault, so that specific zone will not operate. Other burners may still function depending on the range's control logic. It is not advisable to continue regular use while an active fault code is present, as the underlying issue could indicate a compromised temperature-sensing circuit that may affect safe operation.

Power cycling the range by switching it off at the breaker for a few minutes may temporarily clear the code, but if the underlying NTC circuit fault remains, E 62 will return once the range powers back up and runs its diagnostics. A reset does not repair the failed component. Proper resolution requires identifying and correcting the root cause in the NTC circuit.

A knowledgeable DIYer comfortable with multimeter testing can perform initial diagnostics, including checking wiring continuity, inspecting connectors, and testing the NTC thermistor's resistance.
