The data table is a critical section of memory stored on the main control board that contains operational parameters, cycle logic, and configuration data the dryer relies on to function. When this data becomes corrupted or unreadable, the control module cannot execute commands or manage the drying cycle, causing the dryer to stop completely and preventing any restart attempt.

The control module is the central processing unit of the dryer, coordinating inputs from sensors, user interface selections, and safety systems to manage heating, drum rotation, and airflow. A damaged data table essentially renders the board unable to interpret or apply its own programming. This is distinct from a sensor fault or a wiring issue. The problem originates within the board itself, typically in non-volatile memory where cycle data and configuration values are stored.
