Specifically, the system detects that the door is reporting a locked state while simultaneously registering an open door condition, or the emergency manual unlock mechanism has been actuated. The door lock unit contains position switches and solenoid components that send feedback signals to the main control board, and when those signals conflict or fall outside expected parameters, the control board flags the status as implausible and halts the cycle.

The most common root causes involve the door lock assembly itself, the mechanical latch mechanism, or the wiring harness connecting them to the control board. Physical damage to the latch striker, a worn or broken door lock solenoid, or a faulty position switch within the lock module can all produce contradictory feedback signals. If someone has manually engaged the emergency release cord or tab on the door lock, the unit may remain in an unlocked state that the board interprets as an error condition even after the door appears physically closed.

Diagnosing this fault begins with a power cycle reset using the OFF and ON buttons to clear the stored code and determine whether the condition is intermittent or persistent.
