The ACF code means the oven's control system cannot detect the air filter or its frame in the correct position. A microswitch called the AFS monitors whether the filter frame is seated, and when that switch circuit is open or interrupted, the ACU logs this fault. The oven raises this alert because the air filter protects internal electrical and electronic components from heat damage. The issue may be as simple as a missing filter frame, or it may involve a wiring or sensor fault.

Using the oven with an ACF fault is not recommended. The air filter is designed to protect internal electronic components from heat, and operating without confirmed filter presence puts those components at risk of heat damage. Continued use could result in more extensive and costly damage to the control board or wiring.
