This behavior is intentional and controlled entirely by user input rather than any component failure.

Extreme Freeze is typically used when adding a large load of room-temperature or warm food to the freezer, such as after a major grocery trip or a bulk purchase. Rapid, continuous cooling helps freeze new items quickly and reduces the thermal impact on food already stored in the cabinet.
