When active, the control board suppresses specific outputs and inputs to limit electronic interactions with the appliance.

In Sabbath mode, the freezer's interior lighting is disabled so opening the door does not trigger the light circuit. The control panel becomes largely unresponsive, preventing the user from adjusting temperature settings or interacting with display functions. The compressor and cooling system continue to run normally to maintain safe food storage temperatures.
