The F62 code indicates an improper or corrupt signal voltage between the Electronic Oven Control board and the power supply board. This fault applies specifically to Kenmore and Kenmore Elite models equipped with a TST glass control panel. The oven detects that communication between these two boards is outside acceptable parameters and displays the fault to alert you to a problem in that circuit.

Start by disconnecting power for 30 seconds to see if the fault clears on its own. If the code returns, inspect the wiring harness between the EOC and power supply board for loose connectors, burned wires, or visible damage, and test each wire for continuity. A failed harness should be replaced. If the harness is good, the power supply board or the EOC itself may need to be replaced.

Repair costs vary depending on which component has failed. A replacement wiring harness is typically the least expensive fix, generally in the range of $20 to $60 for the part. A replacement power supply board or EOC board can cost anywhere from $100 to $300 or more for the part alone. It is not recommended to continue using the range while the F62 fault is active, as the communication failure between the EOC and power supply board may affect how the oven controls heating elements and monitors oven functions. Operating the appliance in this state could lead to unpredictable behavior. Resolve the fault before resuming normal use.
