Sabbath Failure

Sabbath Failure — displayed on the oven controller screen and on active surface element screens when a power interruption occurs while the oven is in Sabbath mode. The oven and cooktop will not restart automatically.

If food was almost cooked, use residual heat to finish. Otherwise remove food from oven; the oven cannot be restarted until after the Sabbath day ends.

From Service Manual 631762, p.14:

1.If food was almost cooked, use residual heat to finish. Otherwise remove food from oven; the oven cannot be restarted until after the Sabbath day ends.

2.Measure line voltage at the power cord terminal block. Expected: 120 VAC (L1 to neutral) or 208 to 240 VAC between L1 and L2 under load.

3.Inspect the cord strain relief and terminal block screws for signs of arcing or heat discoloration. Loose connections here mimic an intermittent power failure to the control board.
