When the STATUS error is active, the dishwasher is not operating and has halted its cycle, so there is no immediate safety hazard from continuing to use water or heat. However, you should not attempt to force the dishwasher to run through a fault condition repeatedly. Try the reset procedure once, and if the error persists, stop using the appliance and call for service to avoid any risk of worsening the underlying electrical issue.

A recurring STATUS error after multiple resets indicates that the underlying fault has not been resolved by the reset procedure alone.
