GE Oven Error Code F2

Double Line Break Relay is ON in a non-cooking/clean mode, or failed component on control

Double Line Break Relay is ON in a non-cooking/clean mode, or failed component on control. Also indicates oven over temperature condition (door unlocked oven exceeded 600°F, door locked oven exceeded 925°F for ERCII/RS4800/RS5800, or 960°F for TO7). Also triggered by open thermal switch or both lock switches 1 & 2 closed at the same time.

First step from the service manual

For ERCII with key pads built in: repeat mode of operation, if failure re-occurs replace control. For separate key pads: push CLEAR/OFF, disconnect ribbon cable and wait 32 seconds to see if code re-occurs. For over temp: look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If over temp did not occur: look for high resistance connection in sensor circuit, check thermal switch, check fan operation.

The complete diagnostic procedure includes additional test steps, resistance specifications, wiring diagram references, and component test points.
