Code 10-3 means the control board has detected a problem in the drying fan circuit, specifically an open circuit or a fan motor that is not responding. This code only appears on Jenn-Air dishwasher models that include a powered drying fan. The fault can be caused by a loose wiring connector, damaged wiring, or a failed fan motor with open windings.

The dishwasher will likely still wash and rinse normally, but drying performance will be reduced or completely absent since the fan is not operating. Running the machine in this state is not an electrical or safety hazard, but dishes will come out wet. Address the fault at your earliest convenience to restore full function.

Disconnect power to the dishwasher first. Access the drying fan motor, disconnect its wiring harness, and place your multimeter probes on the motor terminals. A functioning motor will show a finite resistance reading in the range specified in your model's service manual; an open motor will show infinite resistance or OL on the meter. Also test each wire in the circuit for continuity from end to end to rule out a broken wire before replacing the motor.

Start by disconnecting power to the dishwasher, then locate the drying fan motor and inspect all connectors in the fan circuit for looseness or corrosion. Use a multimeter to check resistance across the fan motor terminals and continuity through each wire in the circuit. Reseat any loose connectors and repair or replace any open wiring or a failed motor. Reconnect power and run a cycle to verify the code clears.
