E47 means the control board has detected an open circuit in the door lock PTC thermistor circuit during the spin cycle. The PTC is a safety sensor inside the door lock assembly that the board monitors to confirm the door is securely locked before spinning. When the circuit reads open, the washer stops to prevent the door from being released at high drum speed. The fault points to either a failed PTC in the door lock assembly or an issue in the wiring connecting it to the board.

A reset may temporarily clear the E47 code, but it will almost certainly return as soon as the washer attempts the spin cycle again. The code is triggered by a real electrical fault in the PTC circuit, and clearing the error does not repair the underlying problem. Proper diagnosis and repair of the door lock assembly or wiring are needed for a lasting fix.
