Error code 132 on a Lennox air handler means the control board's internal software has become corrupted. The control board can no longer execute its operating logic and has flagged a software integrity failure. The first step is to recycle power to the unit. If the fault returns after the power cycle, the control board must be replaced and a system reset is required.

Error code 132 indicates the air-handler control board cannot function reliably due to corrupted software. Running the system in this state is not recommended, as the board may not be able to properly manage fan speeds, heating elements, or safety controls. The system should remain off until the fault is resolved through a successful power recycle or control board replacement.

If the error clears with a power cycle, there is no parts cost involved. If the control board requires replacement, total repair costs including parts and labor typically range from $300 to $700 or more depending on the specific air-handler model and local labor rates.
