Error code 202 on an LG air conditioner indicates an abnormal signal from the sub-cooling inlet pipe temperature sensor on the HR unit. The control board has detected either an open circuit (no signal) or a short circuit (out-of-range signal) from that sensor. The system stops normal operation to prevent damage from uncontrolled refrigerant conditions. A technician should inspect the sensor connector and measure the sensor's resistance to diagnose the root cause.

The error itself is a protective response, meaning the system has already stopped operating to avoid a more serious condition.
