The 1E code on an LG dishwasher indicates a water level error. It means the High Pressure Switch did not detect a sufficient water level after the fill cycle ended, or it continuously reported a low level during washing. The dishwasher stops operation to protect the pump and other components from running dry.

A reset may temporarily clear the 1E code, but if the underlying problem has not been fixed, the error will return once the dishwasher attempts another fill cycle. Resetting is useful to confirm whether a fault was a one-time glitch, but a recurring 1E code requires physical inspection and repair of the fill system or HPS circuit.
