What Po means on a LG hvac
The Po indicator on an LG air conditioner is not an error code. It is a status notification that appears when the unit is operating in Jet Cool Mode. Jet Cool is a feature designed to rapidly lower the room temperature by running the compressor and fan at maximum capacity for a set period. During this mode, the system bypasses standard temperature setpoint control and operates at full cooling output to achieve the fastest possible temperature drop. The Po display simply confirms that this mode is currently active.
Because Jet Cool Mode is intentionally aggressive, the unit will continue running at maximum output until the mode is manually cancelled or its preset duration expires. The display showing Po is functioning exactly as designed and does not indicate any fault in the refrigerant circuit, electrical components, or control board. No diagnostic investigation of hardware is necessary when this indicator appears.
To exit Jet Cool Mode and return to standard operation, press any of the following buttons on the remote or control panel: the Jet Cool button itself, the Fan Speed button, or the Set Temperature button. Any of these inputs will cancel the mode and return the unit to its previous operating parameters. If the Po display does not clear after pressing one of these buttons, verify that the remote is communicating with the unit and that the button press is being received by the indoor unit.

Common causes of Po
- 01
Jet Cool Mode intentionally activated
Wiring / connectionThe most common reason Po appears is that Jet Cool Mode was deliberately selected using the Jet Cool button on the remote control. This is normal operation and requires no corrective action unless you want to return to standard mode.
- 02
Accidental button press activating Jet Cool
Wiring / connectionThe Jet Cool button may have been pressed unintentionally, triggering the mode without the user meaning to select it. Pressing the Jet Cool, Fan Speed, or Set Temperature button will cancel it immediately.
- 03
Mode not cancelled after previous use
Wiring / connectionIf the unit was powered off while Jet Cool Mode was active, some models may resume the mode when powered back on. Pressing any of the three designated buttons will exit the mode.
