This is typically caused by a loose or incorrectly connected shield wire, out-of-range resistance at the sensor connector, or a dirty sensor filter.

Error-01 disables the sensor cook function, meaning automatic cooking modes that rely on the sensor will not operate correctly. Basic timed cooking may still function, but using the microwave with a known sensor fault is not recommended. Continued use without addressing the fault could result in food being improperly cooked or the error recurring and affecting other functions.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the issue is simply a loose connector or dirty sensor filter, the cost may only involve a service call fee, typically in the range of $75 to $150.
