You can run the refrigerator briefly, but continued use is not advisable. The condenser fan removes heat from the compressor area. Without it functioning, the compressor runs hot, cooling efficiency drops, and food safety becomes a concern within a few hours. Prolonged operation in this state can cause compressor damage, which is a far more expensive repair than fixing the fan circuit.

A power cycle may temporarily clear the Er CF display, but the code will return once the control board runs its startup sequence and again fails to receive feedback from the condenser fan motor within 65 seconds. Power cycling does not fix the underlying electrical or mechanical fault. Use the reset only to confirm whether the code is consistent, not as a repair step.
