Continued operation with an active E2 fault is not recommended. Without a functioning condenser fan, heat cannot be properly dissipated from the condenser and compressor. This can lead to rising cabinet temperatures, spoiled food, and potential overheating damage to the compressor over time.

Repair costs vary depending on the root cause. A condenser fan motor replacement typically costs between 80 and 200 dollars for the part, with additional labor charges if a technician performs the repair. If the control board is at fault, parts alone can range from 150 to 400 dollars or more.
