Start by pressing CANCEL, CANCEL, START to enter Diagnostics Mode and check the live sensor temperature reading and the stored failure code. If the sensor reading looks incorrect at room temperature (the typical RTD sensor reads around 1080-1100 ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit), inspect the wiring harness connections at the sensor and at the control board. A disconnected or corroded connector can cause false over-temperature readings without requiring any part replacement. If connections are secure and the sensor reads out of spec, replace the oven temperature sensor first before considering the control board.

Unplugging the range or tripping the circuit breaker may clear the F3E1 code temporarily, but it will return as soon as the oven reaches the temperature threshold again if the underlying cause has not been fixed. A power reset does not repair a failed sensor or damaged wiring. Use Diagnostics Mode (CANCEL, CANCEL, START) after the reset to check whether the sensor is reporting a normal temperature before assuming the problem is gone.

You should not attempt to use the bake or broil functions while F3E1 is active. The code indicates either a real over-temperature condition or a sensor failure, and in either case the control board has disabled the heating circuit as a safety measure. Surface burners on a gas or electric range may still function, but do not use the oven until the fault is diagnosed and resolved.
