F5-E0 means the control board has detected a conflict between the door latch switch and the door switch. The latch switch is reporting the latch is in the locked position while the door switch is reporting the door is open. These two states cannot both be true at once, so the control board throws the fault. The most common cause is a latch assembly that is stuck in the locked position after a self-clean cycle.

Start by inspecting the door latch assembly for any visible debris, warping, or mechanical binding that could prevent the latch from retracting. Try manually cycling the latch if it is accessible and check that both the latch switch and door switch actuate cleanly through the full range of latch movement. If the latch is stuck post-self-clean, disconnecting power for several minutes can sometimes allow it to reset. If the latch mechanism or either switch is damaged, those parts will need to be replaced.

Self-clean cycles run the oven at very high temperatures, which puts significant stress on the door latch mechanism and the switches inside it. The heat can cause the latch to stick mechanically, warp components that affect latch travel, or burn out the latch switch contacts. F5-E0 appearing immediately after self-clean is one of the most common presentations of this code and strongly points to the latch assembly or latch switch as the failed component.

Surface burners may still function, but you should not run the oven or attempt another self-clean cycle while F5-E0 is active. If the latch is stuck in the locked position, the oven door behavior is unpredictable and the door may not open or close correctly during baking. Resolve the latch issue before using the oven cavity.
