You should not continue running the unit while the E2 code is active. If the tub cannot drain properly, running additional cycles risks leaving standing water in the drum, which can cause odors, mold growth, and potential overflow. Resolve the drain issue before resuming normal use.

Repair costs vary depending on the cause. If the drain hose only needs repositioning or cleaning, there may be little to no parts cost. A reset may temporarily clear the code, but it will return if the underlying drain problem has not been corrected. The control triggers E2 any time the drain cycle runs for 8 minutes without reaching the reset water level, so the fault will recur until the obstruction, pump, or wiring issue is repaired.
