Overheating of motor

Overheating of motor: the heat sink exceeds 212°F (100°C). The washer CCU resets the MCU then waits for motor to cool before restarting; can repeat up to 4 times before F31 is displayed.

From Tech Sheet W17978366, p.18:

1.Clear error code, unplug washer or disconnect power, verify washer is not located near a heat source and has proper ventilation.

2.Inspect the exhaust duct from the unit to the wall cap. A crushed or lint-blocked duct is the most common cause of airflow-related faults.

3.Measure static pressure at the blower housing with the lint screen removed. Expected: ≥ 1.0 in. w.c. in a still-air test.
