However, if the error appears repeatedly when the oven is not hot, it may indicate a malfunctioning temperature sensor that could eventually affect cooking accuracy or other oven functions, so it should be diagnosed and corrected.

If the fix is simply allowing the oven to cool, there is no cost involved. RTD sensor replacement, when needed, typically involves parts costs in the range of $30 to $100 depending on the specific sensor, plus labor if a technician is hired.
