Frigidaire Washer Won't Spin?

Frigidaire washers display error codes on the front panel when something goes wrong. E52 means a motor issue, E21 means a drain problem. Write down any code and look it up — it tells you exactly where to start troubleshooting.

An unbalanced load will trigger the washer’s vibration sensor and stop the spin cycle. Open the door, rearrange the clothes evenly around the drum, and restart. Avoid washing a single heavy item alone.

Frigidaire front-loaders have a drain pump filter behind a small door at the bottom front. A clogged filter prevents the washer from draining, which prevents spinning. Place towels down, open the door, slowly unscrew the filter, and remove any debris. Check for coins, hair ties, and small items from pockets.

The washer won’t spin if the door lock doesn’t engage. Close the door and listen for the locking mechanism. If you don’t hear the lock click and the door lock light doesn’t illuminate, the door strike or lock assembly may have failed.

Frigidaire washers have adjustable front feet. Place a level on top of the machine and adjust both front feet until the bubble is centered. Lock the feet by tightening the lock nuts. An unlevel washer vibrates excessively and may abort the spin cycle.
