Running the dishwasher in this state risks damage to the pump and heating element, which can be harmed by operating without sufficient water. Resolve the fill issue before resuming normal use.

A reset may clear the error display temporarily, but it will not fix the underlying cause of the fill problem. If the water supply issue or faulty component has not been corrected, the dishwasher will encounter the same fault again during the next cycle. Resetting is useful for confirming whether a transient issue such as a momentary pressure drop caused the fault, but a recurring error requires proper diagnosis and repair.

Start by confirming the water supply valve under the sink is fully open and the supply hose is not kinked or damaged. Next, inspect the inlet valve screen for debris or mineral buildup and clean it if necessary. If the supply and screen are both clear, the inlet valve solenoid or pressure sensor may need to be tested and replaced. A technician can test solenoid continuity and pressure circuit integrity to identify the exact failed component.
