WASHING is a normal cycle status indicator on Electrolux dishwashers. It means the appliance is actively in the main wash phase, circulating heated water and detergent through the spray arms. This is not an error code and requires no action under normal circumstances. The display will automatically advance when the washing phase is complete.

Opening the door during the WASHING phase will pause or interrupt the cycle and may release a burst of hot steam, which can cause burns. Allow the cycle to complete or cancel it through the control panel before opening the door. Always take care when opening a dishwasher mid-cycle to avoid contact with hot water or steam.

Since WASHING is a status indicator rather than a fault code, a reset will simply cancel the current cycle rather than clear an error.
