The CF code on an Electrolux oven stands for "Check Food" and is not an error or fault condition. It is an informational notification built into the convection convert cooking mode. When you program a cook time using convection convert, the oven's control board tracks elapsed time and triggers the CF alert automatically when 75% of the programmed cook time has passed. This gives the cook an opportunity to inspect the food before the cycle completes, which is especially useful in convection cooking where circulated heat can reduce cook times compared to conventional baking.

Convection convert mode is a feature that adjusts a standard recipe's temperature and time parameters to account for the efficiency of convection heat distribution. Because convection cooking often finishes food faster than expected, the 75% checkpoint serves as a practical reminder to assess doneness. The alert is generated entirely by the control board's timer logic and does not indicate any malfunction in the heating elements, temperature sensors, or control systems.

To respond to the CF notification, simply check the food inside the oven. If you want to silence the audible alarm, press the CANCEL or OFF button. Pressing CANCEL does not terminate the cook cycle. The oven will continue operating and will shut off automatically when the full programmed cook time expires. No service or repair action is required when CF appears.
