FU14 on an Electrolux oven indicates an Upper Inverter Parameter Configuration Error. The upper inverter is a power electronics module responsible for controlling the motor or heating element drive in induction or convection-capable oven systems. When the control system detects that the upper inverter's internal parameters are outside of expected values, do not match the programmed configuration, or fail to initialize correctly, it triggers FU14 and halts machine operation entirely to prevent component damage or unsafe operating conditions.

This error is fundamentally a communication and configuration mismatch between the main control board and the upper inverter module. The inverter relies on stored parameter sets that define operating limits, frequency ranges, power output curves, and protection thresholds. If these parameters are corrupted, incorrectly written during a firmware update, or mismatched due to an incompatible replacement part, the oven will refuse to operate. Physical faults such as a failing inverter board or damaged wiring harness connections to the inverter can also produce parameter read errors at startup.

Because FU14 causes a full machine stop, the oven will not resume normal cooking functions until the underlying configuration issue is resolved. In many cases this requires either a control board reset, a firmware reload, or replacement of the upper inverter module itself. Technicians should verify wiring integrity and connector seating before condemning the inverter, as poor connections can mimic internal parameter faults during the initialization sequence.
