The PFOr error code on an Electrolux oven indicates that one or more factory-programmed parameters stored in the control board's non-volatile memory are reading outside of their accepted calibration ranges. These factory parameters govern critical oven functions such as temperature calibration offsets, element cycle timing, and operational thresholds. When the control board performs its internal self-check and detects that any of these stored values fall outside predefined acceptable limits, it triggers the PFOr fault to prevent the oven from operating with potentially incorrect settings.

This error is fundamentally a control board issue. The parameters in question are written to the board's memory during the manufacturing process and are not typically adjustable by the end user. Corruption of this data can occur due to power surges, voltage fluctuations during operation, or internal failure of the memory components on the control board itself. A board that has experienced electrical stress or component degradation may lose the integrity of its stored calibration data, resulting in this fault.

Because the fault points directly to data stored within the electronic control board, standard field repairs such as inspecting wiring or replacing sensors are unlikely to resolve it. The control board itself is the primary suspect. In some cases, a power reset may temporarily clear the error if it was triggered by a transient voltage event, but if the board's memory has been genuinely corrupted or a component has failed, the fault will return. Replacement of the electronic control board is typically the required repair.
