The CF code on an Electrolux range is not an error or fault condition. It is a user notification generated automatically by the oven's control board during convection convert timed cooking cycles. When the elapsed cooking time reaches 75% of the total programmed duration, the control board triggers the CF display along with an audible alert signal. This serves as a mid-cycle reminder to open the oven and assess food doneness before the cook cycle completes.

The convection convert function automatically adjusts cooking time and temperature when a recipe is entered using standard conventional settings. Because convection cooking circulates hot air more efficiently, food often cooks faster than expected. The CF reminder is built into this mode specifically to help prevent overcooking, since the adjusted cycle may finish sooner than a cook is anticipating based on traditional recipe timing.

The audible signal accompanying the CF display will repeat at regular intervals and continues until the cooking cycle ends naturally or the user manually stops it. No diagnostic action, part inspection, or reset procedure is required. The appropriate response is simply to check the food for doneness. If the food is ready before the cycle completes, the cook can cancel the remaining time using the oven's cancel or off control.
