Frigidaire Oven Error Code F62

F62 means the EOC-Display Board is not detecting the 60Hz zero-cross synchronization signal it expects to receive from the EOC-Relay Board. This signal is used to coordinate relay timing with the AC power cycle. The fault is caused by a wiring problem between the two boards or a failure of one of the boards themselves. The oven will not operate normally until this signal path is restored.

A reset by cutting power to the oven may temporarily clear the F62 code from the display, but the fault will return as soon as the oven powers back up and the Display Board fails to detect the zero-cross signal again. A reset does not address the underlying wiring or component failure, so the repair steps still need to be performed.

If only a wiring connector needs reseating or a wire needs repair, costs are minimal. If the EOC-Relay Board needs replacement, parts typically range from around $100 to $250 depending on the model. If both the Relay Board and Display Board require replacement, total parts costs can range from $200 to $450 or more, plus labor if a technician performs the work.

A knowledgeable DIYer can start by checking the wiring and connector continuity between EOC-Relay Board connector J2 pin 5 and EOC-Display Board connector P2 pin 5. If the wiring is intact, resolving the fault requires replacing the EOC-Relay Board and possibly the EOC-Display Board, which involves working near high-voltage components. If you are not comfortable working inside the oven's control section, a qualified technician should perform the repair.

Operating the oven with an active F62 fault is not recommended. The zero-cross signal is used to synchronize relay switching, and without it, relay operation may be unpredictable. It is best to leave the oven off until the fault is diagnosed and repaired.
