The F8 code means the door lock motor ran for 2 minutes during a self-clean cycle without either the lock switch or the phase switch changing positions. The control board uses these switches to confirm the door has latched. When neither switch responds within the allowed time, the oven faults out and displays F8. This prevents the self-clean cycle from running without a confirmed locked door.

Normal baking and broiling functions are generally unaffected by the F8 fault since the door lock is only required for self-clean operation. However, you should not attempt to run a self-clean cycle while this fault is active, as the oven will not be able to safely lock the door. Repair the door lock system before using the self-clean feature again.
