When the diagnostic display reads 00, the control board is communicating that no active error codes are stored in its memory and all monitored systems are reporting within their normal operating parameters. This code can appear during a manual diagnostic mode entry or self-test sequence and simply confirms that the unit has not logged any faults.

The control board continuously monitors multiple subsystems including the compressor, evaporator and condenser fans, temperature sensors, defrost components, and ice maker circuits. When all of these subsystems report normal readings and no threshold violations have been detected, the board returns a code of 00 to indicate a clean status. This is the expected result when a technician enters diagnostic mode on a properly functioning refrigerator.

Seeing code 00 after clearing a previous fault code is also normal and confirms the prior error has been successfully erased from the board's memory. If you entered diagnostic mode specifically to investigate a performance complaint but are seeing 00, the underlying issue may be intermittent and not yet captured by the control board, or the fault may have cleared on its own. In that case, further investigation through physical inspection and measurement of components would be the appropriate next step rather than relying on stored code data.
