Error code B on a GE washer indicates a Pressure Sensor Loss fault. The control board has detected too great a difference between the pressure sensor's actual reading and what it expected based on the amount of water it calculated it put into the tub. This points to a pressure leak in the sensing system, a clog in the pressure hose, or water leaking out of the tub during the fill cycle. The washer stops operation to avoid running a cycle with an incorrect water level.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer while error code B is active. The fault indicates the machine cannot accurately determine the water level in the tub, which means it could operate with too little water, damaging the motor or heating element, or potentially with an overfill situation. If water is actively leaking, continued use could cause water damage to the surrounding area. Resolve the underlying cause before running additional cycles.

Resetting the washer may clear the error code temporarily and allow the machine to attempt another cycle, but the code will return if the underlying problem has not been fixed.
