A reset may temporarily clear the F/13 code from the display, but if the underlying mechanical or electrical problem is not resolved, the code will return as soon as the washer attempts to operate the dispenser again. A permanent fix requires identifying and correcting the root cause before relying on a reset.

If the main control board is the cause, parts alone can run from $150 to $350, with professional labor adding to the total.

It is not recommended to continue running the washer with an active F/13 error. The dispenser motor is not reaching its correct position, which means detergent may not be properly dispensed during the cycle.
