Resetting the dishwasher may temporarily clear the code, but it will return as soon as the control board attempts to read the temperature sensor again and finds the same open circuit condition. A reset does not fix the underlying electrical or component fault. Proper diagnosis and repair of the temperature sensing circuit are required for a lasting resolution.

If the repair is limited to reseating a connector or replacing a damaged wire, costs can be minimal, primarily just your time. Replacing the temperature sensor typically involves a parts cost in the range of $15 to $60 depending on the specific model.
