Float switch open

Float switch open — overfill switch stuck in overfill position and/or dishwasher is not level, drain hose check valve not sealing, fill valve triac on control shorted, or fill valve mechanically stuck open.

First step from the service manual

Remove any items stuck under float. Verify that the float moves freely and hear click of the switch contacts. Check/adjust levelness of the dishwasher.

From Tech Sheet W15359534, p.26:

1.Remove any items stuck under float. Verify that the float moves freely and hear click of the switch contacts. Check/adjust levelness of the dishwasher.

2.Measure drain pump winding resistance at connector J7 on the main control. Expected: 12 to 16 ohms at room temperature.

3.Back-probe the pump driver output under load. Verify the board switches the pump at 120 VAC during the drain portion of the cycle.
