The bE code on a Samsung dishwasher indicates a button or key input error. The dishwasher has detected that one of its control panel buttons has been continuously activated for 30 seconds or longer. This can be caused by a stuck button, moisture on the control electronics, or a faulty connector or touch module. The code only appears when the machine is not in an active wash cycle.

A power reset may temporarily clear the bE code, but if the underlying cause such as a stuck button, moisture, or a faulty connector is still present, the error will return. To permanently resolve it, the root cause must be identified and corrected. Disconnecting power for a few minutes and then restoring it is a reasonable first step, but it is not a substitute for proper diagnosis.
