Resetting the dishwasher by disconnecting it from power for a few minutes can clear the EE code if the original cause, such as a brief power outage or momentary voltage spike, has passed. If the underlying voltage problem is still present when power is restored, the EE code will return. A reset is a useful first step but is not a fix for persistent voltage issues.

If the fix is simply waiting for power to be restored or addressing a loose outlet connection, the cost is minimal or nothing at all.
