E115 indicates that the outdoor inlet air temperature sensor has detected a temperature above 30 degrees Celsius, which causes the system to block heat mode operation. This is a built-in protective lockout. The error may reflect actual high outdoor temperatures or a malfunctioning temperature sensor that is reporting incorrect values to the control board.

The E115 lockout only blocks heat mode operation. Cooling mode and fan operation are not affected by this code. The system is functioning as designed when it displays E115, so there is no safety risk to the unit or your home while the error is active.

A power reset may temporarily clear the E115 code, but it will return if the outdoor temperature sensor is still reading above 30 degrees Celsius. If actual outdoor conditions are warm, the code will reappear immediately. If a faulty sensor is the cause, the error will continue to occur until the sensor is diagnosed and replaced.

If the outdoor temperature is genuinely above 30 degrees Celsius, no action is needed since the lockout will lift automatically when conditions change.
