Samsung Heat Pump Error Code E551
Indoor heat exchanger EVAP IN sensor breakaway
What the E551 error code actually means
The E551 code means a small temperature sensor inside your indoor unit has slipped off the refrigerant pipe it is supposed to be attached to. Without proper contact, the system cannot accurately read temperatures at that part of the coil, so it shuts down to protect itself. In most cases, a technician can simply reattach the sensor to the pipe and the unit will return to normal operation.
