It is not advisable to continue operating the system with an active E564 fault. The discharge temperature sensor protects compressor 3 from overheating, and running the compressor without valid temperature monitoring can lead to compressor damage. Address the fault before resuming normal operation.

If the sensor has simply come loose from its holder, the repair may involve only labor costs for a technician to inspect and reseat the sensor, typically in the range of $75 to $150.
